Who am I? What is Word of Mouth, anyway?

Howdy! My name is Joey Carreon and welcome to Word of Mouth's official website!

Word of Mouth started as a humble food column for the University of Alaska Anchorage's student-run newspaper, The Northern Light. Word of Mouth is less so about reviewing and critiquing food, but more so about showcasing all the tasty, local eats in my hometown, Anchorage, Alaska! What started as a print column has now grown into vlogs and this website!

 

As for me, I'm a 23-year-old student at UAA about to graduate with a bachelor's degree in journalism and public communications! Discovering my passions has caused my education to follow a long, winding road consisting of attending three different universities, but here I am. I'm passionate about food, sports, the internet, and pop culture. The list of things I find interesting is seemingly endless , but the common thread between everything that I'm passionate about is writing. That's how Word of Mouth was born!
